SlskQt won't work on OS X 10.9

Just installed OS X Mavericks 10.9 on my Macbook Pro and much to my awe, the only piece of software that won't run on it is Soulseek's latest build. It's not an error message or a failure to upload and/or download, it just won't start.

I wouldn't have installed Mavericks had I known this fact, and as I'm sure it'll happen to many of us OS X users, all that is left for me to ask is for you to please make a build that runs on this latest version.

In the meantime, any of you know a way to run Soulseek anyway without having to resort to VirtualBox or similar softwares? Thanks!

Might I add that if a build is indeed coded, I'd be more than happy to offer myself as its main tester.

Can you verify that you're using build 2013.10.5? Supposedly this is a known issue with Qt that was fixed in Qt 5.1.1, which the 2013.10.5 build is using.

The exact same thing came to mind right after I posted this thread. Will check and let everyone know.

Thanks Nir! Admins, you can go ahead and close this thread.

Excellent, glad to hear. Thanks.

Wait! I didn't get it. I also have the version 2013.10.5 but still can't run the client. What am I missing here?

Yes, I'm still unable to open the client too . The issue seems to be something like:
Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)
Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x00007fff5f3ffff8

Anyone else? Thanks!

EDIT: seems that re-downloading the dmg and then overwriting the app bundle, fixes the problem!
Sorry for that, and thank you.

I'm having trouble opening the app aswell! I'm using build 2013.10.5
I just get the message: "ssX.app" cant't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer

Manage to fix it by going to Security & privacy settings in System preferences and just click on allow apps from anywhere

I can see this is an old post, but I am having issues myself. After authorizing the Version 1.0b6, I was unable to search/connect to server. It shows all of my old searches, but no results. Anybody have a clue what I need to do?
