SoulseekQT crahes when I try to down load folders

Not sure if its an issue on my side of things or not. Anytime I try to download an album folder soulseek crashes. I can download individual files with out any problems. Just wondering if anyone else has this problem, and if there are any workarounds or fixes.

This is on PC?

Yes. Running Windows 7 64 bit.
Comp. Specs:
3.4g Amd processor
4g ram

After you start a folder download, do you have this path on your hard drive: c:\soulseek-downloads\downloading\ or part of it? If only a part of it, which part? If all of it, does it have any files in it or is completely empty?

I have similar specs, and the same thing happened to me.

Nothing was there.

Sounds like it might be a permissions problem, ie the operating system stopping the client from writing to the root folder. Not sure why this is not happening on my end, but I'll test for it and, either way, it sounds like letting the user select the download folder should go into the next build. I'll post a version that tries to write to My Documents\Soulseek Downloads instead later today, I wonder if it will fix the problem for you.

Ah, I think I see what the problem here might be. Are we talking about selecting the folder name in search results and clicking 'Download Folder'? I'm so used to selecting a file within the folder instead of the folder itself I overlooked the problem. I've posted a fixed version here: SoulseekQT-folderfix.zip. If that's not it, I might have to come up with something fancier like a crash reporter or log recorder.

The client is closed very often at performance of any operations.
When I sort lists, turn off in tray.

If it helps as I can write down program reports?

win7 x64.

Are you using Public Build 3? There are definitely still scenarios that crash the client as this is still very heavily work in progress, but any specific instructions you can give to reproduce each crash bug might help. Or you can just wait until things generally get better :) Also, what do you mean by 'turn off in tray'?

dont now how to translate it correctly)

yes public build 3.
While with the new version have a problem, I will simply use the old.
