How do I get started. A friend of mine had this on their computer and it was awesome. I decided to try it out for myself and I'm pretty confused. Please help.

I'm new as well. I think you just start sharing files and use the search function to look for stuff you want. I'm still not sure how the whole social aspect is meant to work or what all the features do.
