I'd like to know what exactly changed when rescanning shares

Today I've been moving files and folders around and adding some new ones, occasionally deleting a few. I then pressed "Rescan Shares" in the file sharing options. It tells me just "359 files removed" and nothing else. I'd like some detail about what was removed, because if anything, there should be a net gain of files. Furthermore, if I press the button again, I get the same message, every time.

I think I did actually move a big folder, so the number is probably right, but it's still shared in its new location. Thus it should be something like 359 files removed, and ~400 files added, counting the new stuff I put in.

With the report only saying files were removed, I'm panicking that maybe I accidentally deleted something, so I'd like to see what it's talking about.

And once rescanned, shouldn't subsequent scans show no changes? Why does it keep saying 359 files removed? I sure hope it's not removing 359 random files every time I press the button.

So, this is kind of a combination bug report (the share-rescan report is same every time, and possibly incomplete) and feature request (I'd like to be able to click a button to see what files were removed and what files were added).

There does appear to be a problem with the removed file count persisting in certain cases, I'll look into it. I wouldn't worry about shared files disappearing though, I doubt it's anything that elaborate.

Thanks, Nir

I just added some more files today, and again, rescanning shares tells me that files have only been removed...
