Blocking Users?

Why can't I block users?

For example, I received numerous messages from an imbecile who I do not wish to receive further messages from.

There is no way to block future messages from this person, which is odd.
If this function does exist in the new client, please tell me where.

Right-click the username or chat window, and select 'Ignore User'.
