Downloading Folders

Hi,

I have just discovered something odd happening with how the Downloads are handled in the latest version for OS X.

I'm using the expanded search results view by default. Previously, when I clicked on the folder name, where the triangle icon is on the left hand side, it started downloading the entire folder contents automatically - which was very handy and useful. Right now, clicking in the very same place, toggles between collapsed and expanded list of folder contents. Seems that the only way to download the folder contents from the search results is to right-click/Control-click if you're on a trackpad, and then use the menu that pops up to select "Download Folder(s)".

Does anyone know, if this could be changed somewhere, so that I can get an auto-download on clicking the folder name by default? If not, is there any way to get it implemented in a revised version anytime soon? It's nothing really major, as the app works fine and has been developed nicely, but it's an extra step (IMO - unnecessary), and it's something I've got used to over a long time, so have an unconditioned reflex of sorts, which is a wee bit frustrating…

Many thanks for all the good work, regardless!

Best,

D.

Hi Dynamitri, many people kept coming back saying they were used to double-clicking expanding and collapsing folders:

I'm now leaning toward making not downloading the default behavior with an option to change it.

Thanks, Nir

I dig that!

Hi Nir,

Well, as long as it's customisable, I'm down to ride with it, but it seems to be off now without an option to switch it back on - unless I'm missing something? Thanks
