I can't login into soulseek and i tried to check the listening port it says

"IP: 121.7.26.78 Port: 53358/tcp CLOSED. Your router and/or Soulseek client needs to be configured correctly.

You may want to check this list of port forwarding guides for instructions specific to your router model.

Don't forget that you need to restart your client if you modify your listening port. "

You need to either enable UPnP mapping in Soulseek or manually forward your ports in your router and or modem. Try the auto mapping first, that usually works great.

the thing is i can't even open soulseek it shows initialising upnp and thats all i cant go into the program. im only getting this problem 2 days ago i was using it before and all was good still

Are you sharing files yet? If you are, break that and see if it loads. Just rename your shared folder to something (add a hyphen at the end). See if Soulseek loads that way. It has worked in the past for me when debugging.

i'm not sharing any files recently, it doesn't connect on both the original and soulseekqt

First you said it was a ports closed error though. Now you say the client won't even open? Something obviously happened, not sure what's going on. Did anything change on your system?

sorry i didnt state it clearly, the port error happened on soulseekqt and the client issue is on the original soulseek. basically they are all dead. i did not change any sys config at all

Stop using the old NS client :) Can you open SSQt and at least get to the port options?

Yes i can get to the port options page, however when i tried to check port (i'm using port 53353) this shows up
IP: 121.7.29.105 Port: 53354/tcp CLOSED. Your router and/or Soulseek client needs to be configured correctly.

You may want to check this list of port forwarding guides for instructions specific to your router model.

Don't forget that you need to restart your client if you modify your listening port.

Update: I kinda fixed it, i change the server port from 80 to 2242 and i'm connected. Does it means soulseek blocks port 80?

I can take a look at it via TeamViewer if you want.

I am logged into the site fine, and am using the same username and password in my client, and verified that my ports are open (the website test shows "open" for both ports. But when I run the client, it just says "connecting" over and over again, but never connects to anything....

I think it's pretty sleazy that you forward people to a program for which we have to pay $29.95. I don't get it...you used to be great. Now it's almost impossible to use soulseek.

We don't do that. Where are you seeing this?

I think my problem is really similar to Pinkrule's, although I'm on a Mac. Any idea why when I enter a listening port i.e. 53434, and click Check the port, I always get "Obfuscated port is 53435", as in, one port number higher than the one I entered? I
I think that might be the reason why I can't get Soulseek to work on my computer..:( Have been trying for days..
Thanks for any guidance you can provide me with..
