Disable minimize to taskbar

Hi Nir,

Firstly, congratulations on an excellent new piece of software to replace the trusty Soulseek client.

The first build I used was the 2011-09-03 nightly build, and one thing that impressed me was that the client window now minimized to the taskbar rather than the notification area (system tray). This made it nicely compatible with Windows 7's 'pin to taskbar' feature.

However, the latest 2011-11-08 build I've upgraded to appears to have restored the old 'pre-QT' Soulseek behaviour of minimizing to a tray icon, meaning I've got to unpin it again to avoid risking spawning a fresh instance and closing the connection when clicking the taskbar icon.

Skype, Live Messenger and many other popular programs that used to minimize to tray have all disabled this behaviour by default since Windows 7 was released to allow them to be pinned, so Soulseek is now once again the only program I have installed that I can't pin.

Would you be willing to consider rolling back this change so that the program minimizes to the taskbar as normal, or, if there are users on older versions of Windows who have requested the old behaviour, provide an option to toggle it?

Thanks!

Hey,

Thanks for the kind word. Just go to the Options->UI tab and uncheck 'Minimize to tray'. This should ensure the client will minimize to the taskbar instead.

Cheers, Nir

Wow. I'm a bit red faced that I didn't spot that! Thank you, Nir.
