Missing features

Not sure what's Nir's view on that, but I think it would be good to have a thread on features that are missing in SoulSeekQT (and were present in the original client). Maybe even a pinned one, so that it's all in one place, rather than scattered around the whole Board?

Anyway, I kinda realised that there seems to be no "Show Folder Contents" option in the Search tab, i.e. if I'm looking for a certain track and it happens to be a B-side of a single (or a part of a compilation, for that matter), I *can't* request contents of the whole folder/release from within the Search results.

What has to be done now, is browsing the user's files, finding the folder/release I'm interested in, and then downloading it. It works (sometimes), but it's a bit on the lengthy side.

Not sure how much work would it take to have it implemented, but it's definitely a useful option - and encourages downloading the complete releases (good for the network itself - I always appreciated this in SoulSeek, as opposed to competing clients full of mess and single-tracks), rather than just selective downloads that are being spread throughout the network.

Anyhow, hope that helps, and if anyone has anything to add - please feel free to (presuming Nir is happy to have a collective thread posted).

Best,

Hi Dynamitri,

The best way to suggest new features in the feature requests section, where people can vote and discuss each individual suggestion. That said the feature you've suggested would certainly be very useful, and I'm happy to implement it. Until then, don't forget share browses support filters as well, so you can always type in what you're looking for in the filter bar :)

Thanks, Nir
