Add user pop-up

Not sure how popular this is, and I might be bucking the trend here, but, uh… Is there any way to make the pop-up winows that shows up when someone is added to the (friends) list, optional?

I had to switch my shares to friends-only, as I've had over 1'000 users queue up on every SoulSeek start-up, and that would literally hog my memory usage to the point of not being allowed to do any work. Playing fair, I always add the person I'm downloading from - but the process is a bit frustrating when I have to close a window each and every time I want to add someone (I don't keep any lists).

So… Any chance? Let me know your views on it, and, obviously, Nir's POV would also be really appreciated.

cheers,

D.

Sure, I'm out of the house right now, but I'll link to an OSX build that has that option tomorrow at the most.

Try this one: SoulseekQt-8-19-2012.dmg. There's a new option under Options->General that lets you control said behavior. You don't have to do anything special though as it's off by default. It occurred to me at some point that having it pop up right after a user is added to the list can be confusing to a new user, especially if they have no groups defined and the list comes up empty. This gave me the opportunity to address that.

Thanks, Nir

Hi Nir,

Thanks for that. Really appreciated. I'm currently at work on a PC, but will give it a check when I'm back home in the evening.
