Right-click > "Download Folder" issues

First off, awesome new client! Many thanks for your tireless effort!

That said, I noticed some quirks (and one crash).

When I search for files and right click on a file and choose "download folder", it only downloads the files in that folder that showed up in my search results, instead of like the old client which would download every file in that folder.

Furthermore, when browsing a user's files, if I right click on a folder that has subfolders in it and choose "download folder", Soulseek immediately crashes.

Finally, just a cosmetic quirk, but I noticed that the tabs are not all the same looking. The ones that are 'wrong' are the ones on the Diagnostic page (there's a dashed line around the text of each tab), the tabs on the Options page, and the tabs on the Transfers pages (the tabs on these two pages look totally different from all the other tabs).

Again, thanks so much for all your work! It's greatly appreciated! Hope this post was helpful!

Thank you waterbreath,

I found out about the crash bug regarding downloading folders with subfolders in the share browse view today, it's already fixed for next build, but if you'd like me to link you to a fixed build ahead of time let me know what operating system you're on and I'll post it here.

As for only downloading the files you see in the search results, see this discussion. Some users aren't happy with the way it's done now, but I try to explain my rationale there to the best of my ability.

As to the difference between the way the tabs look, yeah, I initially had the idea of giving 'static' inner tabs that angular look you see under Transfers and Options, as opposed to the ones that sprout dynamically, say under Rooms and Chat. That said I haven't stuck to it in some places, and I'm not a fan of said angular look, so I'll certainly see about changing them.

Thanks! Nir

That's great! I keep forgetting about the bug and losing my place in people's queues! I'm on Windows 7 64-bit.

And as for the 'download folders' I've actually been doing what you suggested in that thread already, using 'browse folder'... and as you mentioned, I found some cool stuff I wouldn't have otherwise found! Maybe you could make it more clear that 'download folder' doesn't function like the old client? Though I'm not quite sure how you'd go about that.

Anyway, thanks again so much for all your hard work!

Here you go: SoulseekQt-9-12-2012.exe. Lots of other stuff changed in this build so you might run into other problems. Let me know if you do! Changing the text of the 'Download Folder' to something else might be a good idea. I'll have to think about that.

Thanks, Nir
